Dissertation Affirmations

Affirmations help me lead a healthier, happier life. I love words. I know how important they are in shaping, shifting, and solidifying beliefs. Whenever I struggle to write my dissertation, I turn to the following phrases or make time to write more as motivation. If you’re in the process of writing a dissertation, practice affirming these by writing them down on a journal or somewhere easily accessible before your writing sessions. These affirmations consistently encourage me during this writing stage—I hope they do the same for you!

Big Picture Affirmations

  • God is in control. God guides me as I work on each word, section, and chapter of my dissertation.

  • I am capable of writing this dissertation! I have been in school FOREVER. I know what it takes to successfully complete scholarly work.
